Description
Screenshot from the Portable Channel video "Billboards and Spray Paint" of a poster wheat-pasted to raise awareness for May Day 1977. On the poster is an image of a sentence spray painted on the wall of a union building (Local 509-IUE-AFL-CIO-1546). Originally, the spray paint read: Working Men of the World Unite and Get the Rich Off Our Backs." Members of R-WAVAW modified the sentence so that it would read: "Working Women Unite and Get the Men Off Our Backs."
